The journey was created!!

Updated: Jul 9, 2024

Jackie flew by the seat of her pants. She was impulsive, much like my dad growing up, living fast and doing whatever she wanted. I can remember having some friends over, mind you we were much older than her (more than 5 years) and her being the wildest one in the room, pumping like Bobby Brown on the floor and me shouting to get up as she laughed hysterically.

She was a great mother of 4 and she loved her children like she loved her mother. Her infectious laugh is still one her children are trying to imitate as they process the loss of their mother on a daily basis. We work as a family to ensure that other families who face the same fate, do not have to worry about having clothing or shoes, as they process their own grief period.

This non profit is in support of anyone who has ever had to take care of someone they loved. I never thought twice about taking care of my sister during her time in hospice. Hospice of Virginia came through for my family as we had to watch my sister go from being mobile, to not being able to walk at all. What that had to do to her pride to not be able to drive and get around like she was so used to doing before. This is to all who had to see their loved ones cry, sleep all day and finally pass to the other side. For the real soldiers. I miss you sister!!
