Happy Independence Day

Never take your freedom for granted, for as it is given unto you, it can be taken. Use today to think about what we give up along our journey. The sacrifices are being made to ensure one's freedoms are intact. As soldiers, we would lay down our lives for a country that sometimes forgets about us, that is where Jackie's Angels want to fill in the gap. We no longer want to stand by and watch anyone not have. As a young soldier, I can remember times when I did not have enough money to afford the good fruits of my labor. The struggle to make ends meet seemed to be far-fetched. I look back and wonder, how in the world I could make it, being so deep in an unfortunate circumstance. Although those days are far behind me and there is nothing I wouldn't do to keep them a distant memory, other families out here are where I used to be. We do not take this lightly, and in saying that, want to promote a vision of survival and understanding that the road may be bumpy, but like me, you can overcome it.
